Message from Director
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Chow Yuk Ho Technology Centre for Innovative Medicine (TIM). Established in 2014, TIM serves as a platform to encourage synergies and collaborations between clinicians and engineers on medical innovations and technologies.
Moving with the times, cross-disciplinary innovation becomes a key to breakthrough idea. TIM offers an exciting new setting for further research and development of biomedical engineering and technologies. From macro to nano scales, clinicians and engineers can synergize their ideas and initiatives to enhance multidisciplinary researches and translate basic engineering research into clinical practice.

TIM also brings together the public, academic and private sectors for yielding and expansion of the Centre’s innovation capacity. We are very excited about the synergy. The resulting innovative medical devices and surgical tools will ultimately be commercialized through collaboration with industrial partners. It will improve clinical care and be beneficial to the patients.
As the director of TIM, it is my privilege to lead a centre that accelerates cross-disciplinary research at the University and forges new ways to translate research innovations for an advanced development of medical technologies in the region. We look forward to sharing our results with you soon.
